TESTIMONIALS

Agnes R-P

Artistic Director of The Norwegian Chamber Opera

I first got acquainted with Alexa´s art when she made a lovely little sketch of my cottage in Sweden. Her drawing skills are brilliant, combining a fantastic attention to detail, with both simplicity, imagination and lovely colours. I would love to have more of her art gracing my home, but shall emphasise that Alexa is not merely a decorator, but a genuine artist!

FAQ

  • Why fine art paper print instead of photo paper?
'The difference between regular photo paper and fine paper lies in the composition of the paper itself. Natural fibers (usually cotton or alpha-cellulose) must be included within the structure of paper. The paper is not artificially bleached with chlorine, thus ensuring that the photos stand the test of time. A significant asset in the sphere of photography! Standard photo paper meets the needs of customers who use them to view on an occasional basis. In contrast, fine art paper ensures the best light and provides excellent performance when exhibiting and are made to last.' (Source: virtosuart)
  • What is a 'Fine Art Print'?
These are printed representations of the original artwork. 'Fine art prints are usually printed from electronic files using archival quality inks and onto acid free paper.' (Source: virtosuart)
  • What paper and printing method do you use for Fine Art Prints?
All Fine Art Prints are printed on 'Aquarelle Rag 240 grams'. This provides a watercolor paper texture and warm white tone, creating a very close representation to the original artwork. This paper meets the highest archival standards and is extremely age-resistant.
  • What on earth is 'Giclee'?!
'Fine prints are made with high-quality archival inks on acid-free fine papers using a high-resolution large format printer. These are also known as fine giclee prints. These exquisite fine papers are acid-free' 'Fine art prints made with acid-free paper have a lifespan of over a hundred years and usually do not fade, crack, or turn yellow.' 'The word itself derives from the French word for “nozzle” (giclee), and today refers to any print made using archival inks, archival papers, and color quality control.' (Source: virtosuart)
  • What if I buy an art print and then the original becomes available?
No problem! If you later buy the original, you may request to return it (as long as the condition is good) and get a refund for the art print (not including shipping costs). So feel free to purchase art prints in the meantime without fear of later becoming an original art owner!
  • When will the originals be available to buy?
Right now I am in the early stages of setting up my business ☺️ plenty to learn and measures to put in place. For now you can subscribe to receive an email notification when they do become available!
  • What is the difference between an original and fine art print?
So the originals are the hand drawn and painted artworks in which I then create fine art prints form. The originals will of course be more expensive so the fine art prints open the possibilities for those who still would like to display the work in their homes at a more affordable price.
  • Can I see the prints in person first?
From June 17th you will be able to view my prints at Vår Pizza so you can check them out there before deciding to purchase online 🙌
  • Will you deliver to other countries than Sweden?
At the moment the plan is to begin in Sweden, once I have the set up in place I will definitely be looking at shipping abroad! Subscribe here to be notified when this feature becomes available 😊
